McCalmont Cup Champions 2015/16

Thomastown United A claimed the McCalmont Cup after defeating Evergreen Fc A on penalties is a rain sodden Derdimus Park on Saturday 21st May.

Game was tied at 1-1 after extra time (Cj Browne free kick 5 mins) but Thomastown held their nerve to run out 8-7 winners on the dreaded spot kicks.

Thomastown were waiting 40 years since they last won the Cup.


Premier Division Champions 2014/15

Thomastown United A.F.C. play in the Kilkenny & District League and are affiliated to the Football Association of Ireland.

An amateur club with a membership of 300 adults and children, we have two junior teams, an over 35 team, a youths team, a ladies team and schoolboys and schoolgirls teams in all age groups. We also run a soccer school each weekend for 5-7 year olds and the FAI Soccer Sisters scheme for girls aged 7-12.

In recent years, the club has worked hard to develop our playing and changing facilities, and now boast one the finest facilities in the southeast.

Snow Patrol

Snow Patrol

The rock band Snow Patrol have been good friends to Thomastown United over the past number of years. They’ve played twice in Thomastown in Murphy’s Bar, and on both occasions, have used the opportunity to stretch the legs and take in a game of soccer against local selections.
